Kwesi Selassie to host “Take Me Home Tour & Music Festival”

It will be held in the month of February 2020 in Takoradi

Canada-based Ghanaian roots reggae artiste, Kwesi Selassie, is set to host the maiden edition of “Take Me Home Tour & Music Festival”- an annual entertainment cum tour event.

It will be held in the month of February 2020 in Takoradi with a grand euphoric mix of art, culture, history, music, tour, exchange programs and a metropolitan revival of Sekondi-Takoradi (his birthplace).

The event starts from 6th February to 18th February. 14th is slated for the live band stage concert. More activities are planned down to inject a lot of learning fun and learning into the event.

With over two decades old and a wide exposure to musical diversity, he’s highly respected in Ghana, being one of the country’s top successful musical exports.

Using his annual “Take Me Home Tour & Music Festival” as a back-to-my-roots bus, Kwesi aims to bridge the African Diaspora and Africa, but his ride comes with a second right-by-the-side treat (also driving non-Africans close to a great memorable multi-Afro experience.

Both he does with a pre-phase musical concert and a pro-phase mass nationwide tour plan off a Ghana-tourist site itinerary which includes visits to the trans-African slave trade dungeons, wild life, water falls, historic destinations vacation options and more.

The officially confirmed artistes for the 2020 “Take Me Home Tour & Music Festival” concert stage are:

  • Papa Levy (Jamaica)
  • Ras Charmer (Jamaica)
  • JJ Appleby (UK)
  • Barry Dread (UK)
  • Bohbi (UK)
  • Rasjimbe Watusi (USA)
  • King Benj-I (USA)
  • Qshan Deya (USA)

The home side list consists Ras Kobi (The Mystik Italite), Ras Kuuku, Blak Mexxiah, Blakka Route, Kahpun, Quesi Ghana and Ranking Jeff.

The official DJs are DJ Shane Reggaeman (UK), DJ Lowey (UK) and DJ Trinity (UK). Sista Pama, Haruna Babangida and Lion Gomashi are the MC’s. Honourable Ras Mubarak [Minister of Parliament] is the special guest.
